Nature: anhydrous magnesium sulfate MgS04 is a white or off-white powder with a density of 2. 66kg/m3, melting point 1124 ℃, soluble in water, glycerol, alcohol, slightly soluble in ether, easy to absorb moisture, in the air heated to 450 ℃, become basic magnesium sulfate, when heated to 1124 °c, it decomposes into Mg0, 02, S02 and S03 at a large rate, and forms 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 12 hydrates with water.

Use: mainly used for daily chemicals, food additives, feed additives, drying dehydrating agent (see magnesium sulfate heptahydrate).
